Existing countertops or backsplashes do not need to be removed in order for us to prepare the template.

Kitchen

For our company to come out and take accurate measurements for your kitchen, we require all cabinets installed and any additional support to be at the location upon the template date. MGF asks that you have all your appliances installed or at the location before we schedule the measurement. Note: Things such as sinks, faucets, or cooktops might need to be brought back to our location during the fabrication process with the exception of farm sinks. All farm sinks must be installed before the template.

Vanities

In order for our company to come out and take accurate measurements for your bathroom countertops, we require all cabinet bases to be installed. We ask that you have the sink and faucet at your location unless purchasing one through us. Note: Sinks and faucets may need to be brought to our location during the fabrication process.

Customize Your Countertop

Once the template is complete, you can come to our location and layout your job on the same material you picked to ensure you know what to expect in your house.

After Template

After the completed template, it usually takes about two weeks for installation to be scheduled. We will not expedite the process. Once we know the exact install date, we will give you a call ASAP.

How to Prepare for Your Installation

The installation process tends to be a couple of hours, give or take, depending on the size of the jobs.

If you have existing countertops and you or your contractor remove old countertops, they need to be removed completely before our team arrives at your home. We also prefer to have all of your appliances to be in the kitchen upon delivery.

We ask that you make sure there is a clear pathway between the job site (your kitchen or bathroom or basement, whichever is the case) and the closest entrance. Stone is heavy, so we try to minimize how much maneuvering the guys need to do while carrying the individual sections of countertop into your kitchen or bathroom.
If you have small children/ small pets, please make them not come in the way of carrying the stone for their safety.
Homeowner or their contractor (who can make decisions on behalf of the owner) need to be present during the installation process. Our install team will go over the details of the install and take approval before leaving the site.
Make sure all appliances (including dishwashers, stoves, and refrigerators) are in place.

Once the Countertops are Set for Natural Stones (Marble, Granite, Quartzite, Onyx)

After the MGF team finalizes the installation of the countertops, we will do the initial sealing. Natural stone usually needs to be sealed about once a year. Sealing helps prevent it from staining. (To learn more about sealing your countertop, refer to page Kitchen)

Please keep in mind:
Our MGF Team will mount your sinks and have the holes drilled for your faucet, but we will not attach any plumbing beneath the sink or hook-up faucet. You will need a plumber to hook everything up.
